IF6WAS9 Records was started in 1998 by Curtis Fornadley. The first release from IF6WAS9 Records was the self-titled debut CD "Curtis". In memory of his mother, Fifty percent of his profits from the sale of this CD are donated to Cancer related charities. IF6WAS9 Records has also been involved in scoring independent films and various video projects.

The company focuses on music that can be defined as non-mainstream but is immediately accessible and enjoyed by musicians and non-musicians alike.

IF6WAS9 is about finding unique sounds and putting art before commerce. Our goal is help the adventuresome music lover tune into new alternatives for great music.

As of July 25, 2006 "Blue Electric Cool " will be part of the o.i.e Records catalog, including distribution through RedEye Distribution.
